Hey there, I am Pamela Villamar, a chilean graphic designer by profession and a self-trained photographer by passion, currently living in Scotland. Being very keen on graphics since I was a kid, but terrible at drawing, I found a way to express my need for creating images by playing with colors, details and patterns through photography. I was 11 years old when I begged my parents for my first camera, instantly falling in love with the creative freedom I found in the tip of my right index finger. Many years and many camaras later, I am still in love with capturing the world excatly as I want to see it and protecting memories from the fragility of time.

Why I am doing this?
In an online world saturated with never-ending feeds of beautiful images, we got used to swipe down too quickly. Being guilty of this myself, I started this personal project to rescue the joy I always found in photographs by telling graphic and narrative stories of people I am lucky to know and call my friends.
I am also doing this not to go crazy while writing my PhD thesis, hopefully AmazingProject will keep me sane and motivated!
